  • Worst Customer Support Ever

I have sworn never to purchase another HP product and I want everyone to know why so they can avoid the same kind of problems I have had with HP. Recently, a Microsoft update crashed my system. After spending hours and hours online with Microsoft %u2013 who provided excellent support, by the way %u2013 they suggested that the only way to resolve my problem was to reinstall my operating system. The only problem was that the only way I had to do that was to copy the installation files to a USB drive and boot from that. I went into the BIOS settings on my HP computer only to discover that HP... More...

  • HP technician refused to listen to problem

After several calls to yet another NEW number, I spoke to a tech who did not speak fluent English. He insisted in telling me the "solution" to my problem, but would not listen to me explain the problem. He would give me the "canned solution" and insist he was giving me the solution even though I kept telling him that it was not working. I finally did exactly what he told me to do only to come up with the same exact issue. He infuriated me by not listening to me and keeping me on hold for a very lengthy wait that he said would be a "brief wait." If this is the... More...

  • HP support services

On or about 4/4/13 I contacted HP service support regarding my HP touchsmart computer which was going out of warranty in the middle of April so I thought I might clear up a minor problem. I was having trouble with the brightness of the screen which kept going dim after about an hour. I would then have to open the power options and change it and then save but it did not save it so I contacted your service. You can view my records by looking up my telephone number and I am sure you will see many notes. The Service Tech suggested that I restore my computer to its original settings. We... More...

  • Defective HP Notebook

I purchased an HP Pavillion DV6 Notebook PC thru the Army Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) in Nov/Dec 2011. I started having problems with it in early 2012 and attempted to get help from HP to fix the problem (the device would randomly shut down with no warning). I was never able to get HP to help me so I contacted AAFES and a manager immediately arranged for me to get a replacement from HP for the defective notebook in the April/May 2012 timeframe. By the way, AAFES has great customer service. I am now experiencing startup problems with the replacement HP notebook and tried to... More...

  • Defective wireless keyboard

I bought an HP desktop last year at a post-Thanksgiving sale. The computer has worked well. However, the wireless keyboard died. As the computer was still under warranty, I called tech support. They proceeded to tell me (1) that the computer I purchased did not come with a wireless keyboard and (2) they could not find the serial and product numbers of the keyboard itself. I assured them I wasn't lying and offered to take the keyboard to a local HP printer repair site so they could verify the keyboard numbers and show them that their concerns were ill founded. They have now... More...

  • Photosmart 7510 printer

Our HP Print Excalation Executive ase Manager called today for the for the 4th time today. HP wanted for the 7th time to uninstall/reinstall the Photosmart 7520 printer to see if it would install properly. Yesterday he informed me he would have a technician beside him when he called to trouble shoot today. There was no technician with him to trouble shoot the issues. They will call back tomorrow when a technician is avaible to trouble shoot. Printer technicians escalated the case 8/28 and again 9/17. We first heard from the escalation team 9/18. This replacement reconditioned HP Photosmart... More...

  • Hewlet Packard Nightmare

My daughter and I purdhased 2 HP laptop computers through QVC. It was a great deal that turned into a nightmare. Within the past 13 months her unit has been returned 3 times for a repair and then they sent a replacement that was worse than her original. MIRACLE...she nagged until she received a refund. That took 6 months. Mine has gone back for repairs 3 times and still has the same things wrong with it since the first time it went in. They provide a "repair list sheet" to fill out but due to lack of room you add a docuement and they disregard your report of what is wrong and do... More...

  • HP Pavillion G6 - nothing but problems

I bought this laptop at the end of July and here I am I October making my second service call to HP for the same problem. The screen starts flickering and it useless at that point. I called HP in September and after a 3 hour call the problem had gone away but lo and behold, here it is 3 weeks later and I’m back on a call with HP for the same thing. And yes we're downloading the same driver and reinstalling it. Why can't the company admit there is something wrong with the laptop and fix it? There are other complaints about the same problem\same model. Obviously it not... More...

  • HP's Lack of Customer Service

This review has been resolved or replied to by this company. HP simply has no customer service without paying a fee. How is it that Costco will gladly help me with an HP product, but HP will not? Amazing how one company demonstrates true commitment to customer service while the other simply pays it lip service. My issue was fairly simple in that the drivers from the HP website were not downloading properly to my printer. Might have required a few minutes to fix, but HP would not do this without a fee. I don't understand how a company can talk customer service and tout great products while at the same time denying help to its customers. I... More...

  • Where is the old HP review

I am currently a PhD graduate student at Florida Atlantic University, in Medical Physics. In December of last year (2010) I purchased a HP laptop directly from HP using their phone sales option. During this purchase I customized (upgraded) my purchase with 8 GB of RAM; additionally I was advised by this salesperson that I could upgrade to 1 TB of Hard Drive Memory and as my PhD work requires it I also purchased that. When the computer arrived it had a 2 X 500MB dual hard drive which is not the same as a 1 TB hard drive. However I was advised by HP that it would function as 1 TB. That... More...

  • My Brand New HP Monitor

I called HP at 7:40 am and I was transferred around with their Political Nonsense and not helped until 8:45 am. Once with the right person, in India, took my phone call, she then took me through an additional 15 minute review of the Monitor. She had me check everything and then it took her additional 5 minutes more extra to type her report. I waited patiently but getting upset slowly. Once the report was typed, she transferred me to the Technical Person to mail me my new Monitor. First, they would Require my Credit Card for Collateral; Shipping from India is expensive. The product was... More...

  • HP Support Ignores

IS HP LOSING IT? I am the frustrated owner of a highly priced HP TouchSmart 600-1050 with Windows 7 (Touchscreen) and an Officejet 6500 All-In-One wireless. This will be the last time that I touch HP with a 10 foot pole! Please read on. Every few days my HP computer deletes the driver for it’s printer. Poof gone! Reload sucker! Looking through documentation online, I found on the appropriate driver page they had a fix for my described problem. Cool let’s do it! Uh-oh the install fails with the error “will not work with your system”. And upon calling tech support no... More...

  • HP Customer Service Sucks

Start boycotting these companies that have their tech support or customer service in another country. I was on a 1/2 hour call just to cancel a care plan I got. The last thing I heard was that the woman was going to cancel the care plan, then over 15 minutes of silence. I had to yell several times into the phone to wake her up to find out what the problem was. She tells me that the system is running slow and it is taking longer than usual. Come on, how stupid do you think I am. You're a computer company your system's shouldn't be slow. Asked for her manager and never... More...

  • Avoid HP DV6 1352Dx Laptop

I purchased a HP DV6 1352Dx Laptop from Best Buy in November 2009. It was a wonderful computer that was purchased with the sole intent of replacing a desktop computer. A little over two weeks ago the screen went haywire and started rolling. It was impossible to use the internal display but an external worked fine. I contacted HP Tech support and after trying several things to resolve the issue it was determined that the unit needed to be sent in for repairs. HP provided the return shipping box and paid for the return shipping. Cosmetically the laptop was the same as it had been the day... More...

  • Bad PCs

I was looking for the HP hate group but I guess this will have to do. After years of owning Dell's I made the fatal mistake of buying an HP. In just less than 2 years the PC died. After doing some research I learned it was a bad motherboard. Two of my friends had the same problem. Bad news was it was out of warranty. But both my friends told me theirs were out of warranty too but HP replaced them. So I called HP. No go! All the rep said repeatedly was "Out of warranty". I then asked for the reps name and she gave only her first name . When I asked for her last name... More...

  • HP One of my worst customer service experiences ever.

Recently purchased a brand new HP computer and immediately experienced trouble with the disc drive. I phoned their help line, assuming someone could guide me through the troubleshooting process. They kept me on the phone for two hours (this, despite my suggesting that it might be better if I just bring it back and exchange it under warranty) and kept switching me back and forth between operators. The end result was my asking to speak with a manager, rather than be put on hold again. When the manager did pick up, he basically yelled at me. I'm not even exaggerating. He raised his... More...
